Maps a large repo into plain-English pages so an agent stops reading thirty files

What it's for

  • stop a coding agent burning context reading the whole repo
  • give a new agent session a map of an unfamiliar codebase
  • cut what a change costs in tokens on a large repository

We have checked the project site of Graft 156 times since 15 Sept 2026, and the site answered every time. The site's visible text last changed on 2 Nov 2026.

What it does

An open-source context layer for large codebases. It maps a repository into a graph of linked plain-English pages committed to git, where every link is a verb taken from the code — uses, produces, validates — so a coding agent starts oriented instead of searching. The site gives an example of 247 files reduced to 12 nodes, claims up to four times cheaper and three times faster, and states it uses no vector embeddings, runs entirely locally and sends no telemetry. Set up with one command, after which it keeps the map in sync.

Evidence

Each bar is one request to the project's own site

This one is installed and run on your own machine, so what we re-check is the project’s site — whether it is still published and still reachable. We cannot tell you from here that the tool itself runs.
